RURAL HOUSING NEEDS SURVEY

HIGHWAYS IMPROVEMENT PLAN

The Parish Council submits an annual Highways Improvement Plan to KCC Highways. A Highway Improvement Plan (HIP) is a method whereby KCC will consult with Parish Councils to create a plan for highway improvements in a parish area. The idea is for the Parish Council to list their ideas for improvements in priority order with as much information as possible to allow KCC officers to then investigate the ideas initially as a desk top study and then be able to discuss the ideas in depth. The benefit of this approach is that there is then an agreed document setting out the various schemes and the recommended action going forward.

CAMER PARADE - HIGHWAYS CONSULTANT REPORT

The Parish Council commissioned a independent highways consultant in November 2022 to produce a report assessing options for improving the safety of the exit junction at Camer Parade and to take a holistic approach to how the parking on double yellow lines may be resolved. A copy of the report is published below:

    EDMUND GREEN - TREE SURVEY

The Parish Council commissioned a independent aerial tree survey in August 2023 to produce a report assessing the health and condition of the trees located on Edmund Green in Meopham following concerns raised by residents of Edmund Close. A series of questions were posed by the Council to the arboricultural consultant which are included within the report.

    CLUBS & GROUPS LIST

The Parish Council has produced a central list of groups, clubs and societies within the parish.
