Following our post last night, officers at the Parish Council have worked tirelessly to arrange for the removal of the encampment as soon as possible.

Officers met with Kent Police at the site this morning. The Parish Council then instructed an enforcement agency who has served legal notices to the travellers this afternoon. This gives them 24 hours to vacate the site.
If they fail to do this, the enforcement agency will return to enforce their eviction from the site.

The Parish Council will assess the site afterwards for any damage or debris that needs removing. The Pitfield Green toilet block will remain closed and will re-open on Monday 26 June.
